Vaine is a B2B lead generation platform operated by Mark Taylor, South Africa. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register.

Billing information: Payment details processed securely by Paystack. We do not store card numbers.

Usage data: Hunt queries, lead vault contents, login times, and browser/device information for service operation and security.

B2B contact data: Professional contact information sourced from Apollo.io and publicly available records, used to populate your lead vault.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Process subscription payments
  • Send service-related communications (account alerts, billing receipts)
  • Improve the platform through anonymised usage analytics
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party processors to deliver the Service:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting
  • Apollo.io — B2B contact data provider
  • Paystack — payment processing
  • Vercel — platform hosting
  • ZeroBounce — email verification

Each processor is contractually bound to handle data appropriately and in compliance with applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your lead vault data is retained for 30 days to allow export, then permanently deleted. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by South African tax law.

6. Your Rights (POPIA)

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to the processing of your personal information
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication purposes only. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based database access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance.
